Learn the rules of Sevens

Read the position before choosing your next action. Play every card to four suit sequences that expand outward from their sevens. Try the rule on the board, then read the next instruction. A standard deck is dealt to four players, thirteen cards each.

Four-player free Sevens with three local computer opponents. This table uses the seven-of-diamonds opening and low Aces.

Practice beyond the first move

The example and rules describe the same game you can play above. Extend the low end or high end of an open suit by one rank. Aces are low below twos; kings are the high end. The game area remains available above the explanation.

The objective of a round

A careful first move helps you understand the round. Play every card to four suit sequences that expand outward from their sevens. Try the rule on the board, then read the next instruction.

Follow these playing steps

  1. A standard deck is dealt to four players, thirteen cards each.
  2. The holder of 7♦ must play it first. Other suits can open with their own seven.
  3. Extend the low end or high end of an open suit by one rank. Aces are low below twos; kings are the high end.
  4. Play a legal card whenever possible. Passing is allowed only when no card fits.
  5. The first player with an empty hand wins the round.

Keyboard and screen controls

Take a moment to check the current turn. Tap an enabled card from your hand. The suit rows show cards already played. Use Pass only when it is enabled.

A closer look at one example

Keep the goal in view while choosing a move. After 7♥ is opened, 6♥ or 8♥ can be played. 5♥ must wait until 6♥ is on the table.

Notice this detail

Read the position before choosing your next action. A matching rank in another suit does not extend an existing row. Every suit has its own sequence.
