Russian Solitaire: learn through an example

Work at your own pace. Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Select cards directly on the tableau and work through a full solo deal. Take the next action only when the current step is clear. A clear plan starts with the current position. Move any face-up card and its tail onto the next higher rank of the same suit. Kings fill empty columns. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer.

Yukon-style deal, same-suit building, no stock. Free solo play, no wagering.

Practice beyond the first move

Keep the active rule in mind. Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot. Take the next action only when the current step is clear.

The challenge in front of you

A closer look at one example

A heart 6 fits a heart 7, not a spade 7. Take the next action only when the current step is clear.

Notice this detail

Treat this as a chance to practise one rule. Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Take the next action only when the current step is clear.
